The Squareback Anthias (Pseudanthias Pleurotaenia) is a deepwater fish and overtime will adapt to aquarium lighting conditions. They should be housed in an 70 gallon aquarium or larger and should have adequate live rock with numerous caves and other hiding spots.
They do well singularly but does best in small shoals consisting of several individuals. Males should be kept by themselves with several females. Their diet should consist of enriched frozen brine shrimp, Mysis shrimp and over time may eat high quality food flakes. They will eat copepods and amphipods.
