The Blue Linckia Starfish is a beautiful reef safe starfish that can grow up to 16 inches. Blue Linkia Starfish should only be kept in a large established reef system where there is lots of live rock for them to forage for food on. This species can be difficult to care for due to the fact they generally only feed on algae and microorganisms they find while foraging for food on live rock and sand. They also do not tolerate water parameter changes and need almost perfect and stable water parameters.
It is suggested that expert aquarium hobbyists with very large aquariums and large amounts of live rock and live sand that may be able to provide enough food options for the Blue Linckia Starfish to thrive. This species generally does not accept meaty prepared foods.
