Sea Veggies Seaweed from Julian Sprung is a type of nutritious food ideal for marine herbivores. It is very nutritious as it contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, C and E. It is also rich in important minerals such as iron, potassium and iodine, as well as natural pigments and trace elements. A regular diet of this seaweed promotes a very healthy lifestyle for your fish and also improves their coloration. It is the perfect food for marine life such as parrotfish, Moorish idols, tangs, surgeonfish, angelfish and butterflyfish. It also works well for freshwater fish such as cichlids and goldfish.

The food is available in two forms: regular seaweed or seaweed flakes. The regular seaweed can either be green (Porphyra yezoensis), purple (Porphyra umbilicalis) or red (Palmaria palmata). Each one has a different protein, fat and fiber content so it is up to you to decide which one is best suited for your fish.

For the seaweed, you can use a clip to place it in the aquarium. It can be attached and removed easily and it usually floats so that it does not sink to the bottom of the tank. If you are using flakes, take a pinch and let it soak in a cup of water for a minute until the flakes begin to soften. Then you can add them to the tank and replace them only once the previous ones have been consumed by the fish.
