The Cleaner Wrasse (Labroides Dimidiatus) would be best suited with an established tank of at least 55 gallons or larger tank. Cleaner Wrasse are active fish and require plenty of swimming space as well as an abundance of live rock for grazing and shelter. The aquarium housing a cleaner wrasse should have live sand where they can sift through for food. The Cleaner Wrasse are known jumpers and require a tight fitting lid on the aquarium to prevent from injury or escape.

They are a peaceful species that get along well with other peaceful tank mates. Many aggressive fish tolerate the Cleaner Wrasse due to the cleaning services and habits they provide.

The Cleaner Wrasse should be provided a diet of live brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, black worms, ghost shrimp, as well as prepared meaty marine foods such as bloodworms, krill, clams and crab meat. The Cleaner wrasse is a natural grazer and mainly feed on parasites and zooplankton in the wild, they will try and groom other fish for food but they must be fed meaty foods or be provided with live planktonic life.
